Fields of Viridian
OUT NOW
You find yourself in a lush, blooming valley teeming with latent magic. Your ears make out the sounds of a distant chorus across the landscape, beckoning you to explore it. What shall you discover?
Fields of Viridian showcases a combination of originally composed orchestral cues, virtual and physical field recordings and live recorded winds. The enchanting blend between place, sonic immersion, sound healing, and the orchestra as an instrument is a creative medium that has fascinated me from a very young age.
As soon as I acquired my first synthetic orchestral libraries amid the COVID pandemic, I immediately began writing these melodies, letting them slowly develop over the years as I gained more compositional and production experience. After the release of Requiem: Life Between Death and Rebirth in May of 2023, I finally felt well enough equipped to bring these ideas into full form.
Viridian, the hue blending shares of blue and green, is not only my favorite color, but also the most prominent one found in the most lush, enchanting natural environments I have explored (virtual and in real life). This project, inspired heavily by heroic themes found in video game soundtracks and ambiance, offers a portfolio piece that oozes the essence of fantasy and the mystical ephemera of nature's flora and fauna. These melodies have been deep healing spaces for me, and I hope they can be for you as well. Please enjoy these brief glimpses into the viridescent soundscapes of my innermost world.
Rivière au rêve de l'âme
“The River of the Soul’s Dream. Tucked into a valley shrouded in eternal twilight, this ancient stream guides adventurers down its hypnotic, winding paths. It is said that those who follow these mystical waterways are given the answers to their soul’s deepest yearnings.”
ORCHIDBLUME
“One of the most common wildflowers found in the region’s most verdant bluffs. These ancient blooms, adorned with delicate, violet petals, are said to sing gentle choruses as they dance in the morning breeze.”
